PRP may be considered for some people experiencing thinning hair. It is not appropriate for every cause of hair loss, so identifying the likely diagnosis and reviewing medical history are important before treatment.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment uses a prepared portion of the patient’s own blood. After processing, the platelet-rich plasma is introduced into selected scalp areas as part of an individualized hair-loss treatment plan.
Request an AssessmentTreatment recommendations depend on assessment findings, medical history and realistic expectations. No result can be guaranteed.

A small blood sample is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich component. The prepared plasma is then applied or injected into the planned scalp areas using a clinical protocol.
PRP is usually planned as a course rather than a single guaranteed treatment. The number and timing of sessions depend on the patient’s assessment, response and clinician’s recommendations. Maintenance may be discussed where appropriate.
